Born and raised in Amsterdam, Holland and coming from a generation of sculptors, art has always played an important role in my life. I have taken a wide variety of art and sculpting courses and graduated from the Fine Arts Program at Central Technical School in Toronto. I have worked with well known artists in Europe and Canada. My main focus remains sculpture and my pieces are held in private collections in Holland, France, England and Canada.
My greatest inspiration is the human form, therefore my work is mostly figurative. My objective as an artist is to create a piece that is not a static pose but to capture the movements and emotions that shape our lives.
I enjoy working with clay that will later be fired and also with the "lost wax process” used for bronze casting which makes my pieces unique and one of a kind. I currently work with multimedia, often combined within one piece.
