Born and raised in Amsterdam, Holland and coming from a generation of sculptors, art has always played an important role in my life. I have taken a wide variety of art and sculpting courses and graduated from the Fine Arts Program at Central Technical School in Toronto. I have worked with well known artists in Europe and Canada. My main focus remains sculpture and my pieces are held in private collections in Holland, France, England , United States and Canada.
My greatest inspiration is the human form, therefore my work is mostly figurative. My objective as an artist is to create a piece that is not a static pose but to capture the movements and emotions that shape our lives.
I enjoy working with clay that will later be fired and also with the "lost wax process” used for bronze casting which makes my pieces unique and one of a kind. I currently work with multimedia, often combined within one piece.
